Nutzo Bottled Peaches!

I just had to get my remember 9-11 in so I put some of the peaches on my mantle.
Now do you believe it...I decided that I could not only do the freezer peaches but I decided I could bottle peaches too. Yes I am a real"Molly Mormon" now...at least that is what the neighbor told me. I actually had fun too. Dave and I did our usual giving of the peaches away. We gave to more than 75 families(the Lord blessed our trees this year) plus I did my freezer down stairs full of pint and quart freezer bags full of the sweetest peaches all peeled and sliced. Yummy in all the recipes... and then I did 24 pint bottles full and 8 quart bottles full. It felt so good. We love to see our friends, neighbors, and a few strangers faces when we give them a basket full of fresh picked peaches. It is the best! I even got to take some to my brother Kevin, who was shocked when we opened up the trunk to see it full. I don't think he shared with my sister though. He sure has told me of all the cobbler and smoothies and stuff he has made. So if you have a good recipe send it my way....yes Ang I have some here for you take home, but you have to come get them...
What a great feeling to add these fresh bottled peaches to our storage room down in the basement. When time gets tough, at least we have some peaches to eat with our wheat bread.
Blue ribbon peaches at that!!! Can you tell I am proud of my accomplishment???funny LOL

Babylon in the cheap jeep!

This is our cheap jeep(otherwise known as a Samurai) we have more fun going on the dirt roads around our area. The grandkids are always ready to go with g-pa to fun places. G-ma went with them this time and even went swimming in her clothes in the river.Sorry I did not post pictures of me but if you come g-pa videoed me in the river. Not funny!
This is way cool Austin, it was hot enough and very private down by the river that he loved going swimming. It was just like being at a minature grand canyon and the best part is, hardly anyone knows where it is.
This is Jayden, she is always ready to swim....24-7. She had a blast.
Austin and Jayden loved that there was some good deep spots, over even my head so they could jump in and swim and they liked the rapids part to so they could float a little.

After swimming g-pa took us to some of the old silver mines which is why there was such a place as Babylon. The story is told how some pioneers that were new to the area for mining of silver wanted to distance themselves from all the "Mormons" so they made their own town and named it Babylon. I will tell you it is one pretty place and not that far from real civilization.
Doesn't Jayden look cute with her two front teeth missing? I will put more adventures of the cheap jeep on.

Quick trip to Calif. & Peach Days

These mail boxes were out in the middle of the desert on the way to Palm Springs to visit my mom who broke her hip....I entered the picture in Peach Days and got a blue Ribbon.
When traveling out in the middle of no where, we saw some of the prettiest clouds, this was taken while driving along the way.
Austin, Jayden and Amber on our small road going to go to Peach Days.....
Austin, Jayden and Dave just got squirted by our fire department, who cooled everyone off on the parade route. In the back you see some of our friends who were smart and had a big umbrella to protect them...
We told Marie they should have been in the parade so I took this picture of them leaving, they are the smart ones who had the umbrella. I love the small town life, Peach Days was great this year, I got another blue ribbon for my peaches so I got one at the County fair and one at Peach Days. We sure had fun. What a great way to end the summer.
