Pinewood Derby

We start with the table of trophies and cars and goodies for the boys. The next picture is of the far side of the track and in that corner on right I made a miniature Pinewood derby for the younger kids to race like their big brothers(they loved it) It also served the purpose of keeping them off the big track!
Next is a picture of two of the cute younger scouts! Then as you can see the picture of where the scouts are suppose to be sitting but half are not there. The last picture is of most of the boys holding their cars from racer Eric Hardin...thank-you Eric and Mikey too!
The night was a great success and I learned alot for my first Pinewood Derby....

more visitors...and snow...lots of snow

I had a full week last week and that is always a good thing, keeps old grandma happy. My old friend Lynda emailed and asked if she and her two grandkids could sleep over on their way to California to go to Disneyland. I wrote back that I would leave the light on... and I was better than Motel 6, way better. Anyway it was fun. Lynda looks great and her g-kids are cute and nice too. We stayed up all night talking( easy for us to do).
Then for the week-end we had April, her kids, and Janae. Plus all my children & g-kids that live close by. It was fun playing with them, poor Dave had work. The g-kids and I went all over while April got a relaxing day. To me having fun with g-kids is fun, especially playing games and hanging out together.... zig-zag down the road g-ma! Yes we had fun.... Aunt Alli taught us all a new game. Oh and Sunday everyone came, even Joseph for yummy Chicken and Steak Fajitas, it was a Fiesta...
Then after all the kids left it started to snow and snow, bummer Andrew, you missed it.... Then Steve and Lynda came by on the way home and brought cool stuff from Eric & Mikey Hardin for my Cub Scouts. Thanks Mikey!
So now it is the beginning of a new week... I don't like Mondays... but Wednesday night is our Pinewood Derby so I will post some pictures and tell ya' all about it...love you all and thanks for the fun you bring to me....

April came to visit...

April and her kids came to visit last week-end and to look at the pictures you would not think they were all sick... Friday they all went to Keith's performance at the Electric theatre. Way cool I heard from all as I babysat the dog. Anyway Austin and Jayden came too and so we had more fun... cousins together are the best... Saturday I took Aubreana down for her first facial (she liked it) and then we all went to the movies. Double fun... we split up with older and younger kids. Dave and I got to see Mad Money with Aubreana, Austin and Andrew and lucky April got to see Alvin and the Chipmunks with Jayden and Alaina. It was all fun. Then April did a cooking lesson with the grandkids. She even gave them recipes to take home. way too much fun...
The picture are of Dave giving the kids the ride of their life. To hear their screams you would of thought they were riding a roller coaster. He took them straight off our loading dock on the dirt road. It was funny! Then April was brave enough to drive the kids around, remind me to tell that story to you. The last picture is of Alaina and Jayden on the computer together. They made me laugh. You sure can tell they our girls. They were looking at videos of cats and when baby kittys came on you can hear them sigh oooooooo. It is always fun when they come. It is so great being grandparents... Dave and I sure do love them all...

Allison and Kelly wanted a ride too...

On Friday Allison and Kelly visited and they just could not resist and wanted to ride with Atticus behind G-pa's 3 wheeler(BIG RED) Dave really enjoys all the "kids". On Saturday he took Jayden, Austin and Allison in the rain 4 wheeling in his cheap jeep up to Fort Pearce and to the real dinosaur tracks and they had so much fun. Of course it took Dave awhile to wash all the mud off. Come visit and Dave will be glad to take you out on one of his adventures. We love it here in Southern Utah.

Fun at the old folks home...

Andrew likes G-pa's "Big Red" 3 wheeler. Andrew is so good with Bella Lu Dancerella.Atticus likes the trailer G-pa built for the kids to get rides in. He can hardly wait for his cousins Matthew and Kylie to come ride with him too.

We visited my mom on way down to Orange,California..

We visited my mom and brother and Kathy on our way down for Terry Behn's funeral. It was a nice visit with Kevin & Kathy and mom. Then after Atticus hugged everyone good-bye we stopped at the dinosaurs where Autumn and Allison remember sitting on when they were young girls. Atticus liked the dinosaurs and he really liked the Ruby's diner that is close by. The trip was not a vacation but it was nice to be there with Kim, Shawnte and Lonnie for the funeral and to visit with them.
